For use during bipolar electrosurgical procedures, these forceps are designed with a 1.0 mm tip and a smooth jaw. Available in both insulated and insulated with irrigation. Just as with their standard counterparts, these forceps are the most common bipolar forcep model. Bipolar forceps are designed to control temperatures, minimize heat and current spread and reduce tissue sticking or charring while coagulating during bipolar electrosurgical procedures. They are available in a variety of styles that provide bipolar coagulating capabilities for a wide range of procedures: irrigating or non-irrigating (for flushing surgical site to improve visualization), with or without insulation (to eliminate conduction to surrounding tissues when performing deep procedures), straight or bayonet-shaped (to enhance visibility by keeping the surgeon's hand from the line of sight). 7-1/2" (19.0 cm) Adson Bayonet Dressing Forceps are handcrafted from surgical grade German stainless steel. Designed with its bayonet handle angled and 90 degrees from the grasping direction, these dressing forceps offer a leverage not seen with standard models. The serrated handle assures a firm grip on this instrument.

Longitudinal serrations, 1x2 teeth, straight Allen-Kocher Artery and Intestinal Forceps are designed with longitudinal serrations on straight jaws. These ratchet ring-handled forceps also contain 1x2 teeth on the tips of the jaws that interlock in order to compress tissue in which blood is being depleted.

9x10 teeth, 6" (15.0 cm) Adair-Allis Tissue Forceps are 6" long and are primarily used in general procedures in instances such as when diseased tissue needs to be held. The 9x10 teeth on the tips of the jaws provide a sure grasp of the tissue being held, and can also be used to approximate the edges of the membrane that creates the abdominal cavity lining.
