Schnidt Tonsil & Artery Forceps
Schnidt Tonsil & Artery Forceps
Schnidt Tonsil and Artery Forceps is a hemostatic agent used to cease bleeding from blood vessels or to hold tonsils. The “boettcher” style feature a light curve on the jaws in a 7 1/2″ or 14″ length with the option of closed ring-handles or one open ring-handle. The one open ring allows more maneuverability for the surgeon. Another aspect of this forceps is called the “sawtell,” which signifies a full curve on the jaws. This style also has the option of closed ring-handles or one open ring-handle in a 7 ½” overall length.

These jaws are also offered in two different lengths and are intended for tissue to be handled carefully.
Adlerkreutz Tissue Forceps
Adlerkreutz Tissue Forceps
4x5 teeth
Adlerkreutz Tissue Forceps are handcrafted from surgical grade German stainless steel. Designed with 4x5 teeth for a secure grip on tissues. The design allows precise dissection and tissue handling while the teeth assure a secure grasp. Available in a 6" or 8" model.
Adson Bayonet Dressing Forceps
7-1/2" (19.0 cm)
Adson Bayonet Dressing Forceps are handcrafted from surgical grade German stainless steel. The serrated handle assures a firm grip on this instrument.
Adson Artery Forceps – Delicate
Delicate pattern, 1x2 teeth, 7-1/8" (18.0 cm)
Adson Artery Forceps are 7 1/8" and are developed with 1x2 teeth in a delicate pattern with either curved or straight jaws to suit different needs. Primarily applied during operations in which arteries need to be grasped or compressed, the teeth on the tips of the jaws interlock to confirm that a tight grip is held.
Adson Bipolar Forceps
Adson Bipolar Forceps
1.0 mm tip, smooth jaw, 4-3/4" (12.0 cm)
Adson Bipolar Forceps are designed to minimize heat and current while coagulating. For use during bipolar electrosurgical procedures, these forceps are designed with a 1.0 mm tip and a smooth jaw. Available in both insulated and insulated with irrigation. Just as with their standard counterparts, these forceps are the most common bipolar forcep model. Bipolar forceps are designed to control temperatures, minimize heat and current spread and reduce tissue sticking or charring while coagulating during bipolar electrosurgical procedures. They are available in a variety of styles that provide bipolar coagulating capabilities for a wide range of procedures: irrigating or non-irrigating (for flushing surgical site to improve visualization), with or without insulation (to eliminate conduction to surrounding tissues when performing deep procedures), straight or bayonet-shaped (to enhance visibility by keeping the surgeon's hand from the line of sight). Manufactured from premium, German stainless steel with a satin finish. Call us today regarding non-stick versions of our line of bipolar forceps.
Allis Tissue Forcep
Allis Tissue Forceps
standard pattern
standard pattern of the Allis Tissue Forceps are intended for the use of firmly grabbing or holding body tissue during surgery. This pattern includes a ratchet ring-handle with a selection of different sizes and types of teeth to accommodate various medical procedures. These teeth curve to the inside and may cause less harm to the tissue because of decreased general pressure applied to the area.
Artery & Intestinal Forceps
Longitudinal serrations, 1x2 teeth, straight
Allen-Kocher Artery and Intestinal Forceps are designed with longitudinal serrations on straight jaws. These ratchet ring-handled forceps also contain 1x2 teeth on the tips of the jaws that interlock in order to compress tissue in which blood is being depleted.
Babcock Tissue Forceps – Tungsten Carbide
Tungsten carbide jaws
Babcock Tissue Forceps have jaws that are made from tungsten carbide, the hardest metal made for surgical instruments. Precision-milled serrations are formed onto the tungsten carbide inserts, resulting in pyramid-shaped teeth that provide a non-slip grip. Pyramid-shaped teeth align perfectly with each other to provide a durable and reliable grasp of the most delicate or toughest tissues, as well as needles, sutures, dressing materials and delicate vessels. Smooth tungsten carbide inserts are also available for delicate procedures. Spring tension allows for surgeons to maintain proper and consistent position, ensuring optimal grip without having to apply excess force. These forceps also feature gold-plated handles.
