Rib Retractors aluminum arms & blades Cooley Rib Retractor is the ideal instrument for use during cardiothoracic procedures when there is an absolute need to keep the surgical field open by spreading the ribs. These retractors are crafted from aluminum and have two arms with a lip that allows it to be inserted between the ribs and and adjustable ratchet which gives precise control of the amount of spread. This instrument is available in two sizes: adult and pediatric.

Atrial Valve Retractor Cooley Atrial Valve Retractor is a uniquely designed for use in cardiothoracic surgical procedures. This instrument is used particularly for atrial valve retraction and is perfectly suited to do so because of its bulb shaped handle for firm handling and angled head piece to allow manipulation while leaving the surgical field accessible. This instrument is available in three sizes: small, medium and large all of which are for a right sided approach. A left sided approach instrument is also available to accommodate a variety of surgical uses.

Carotid Retractor Henly Carotid Retractor is ideally suited for cardiothoracic surgical use as a carotid retractor thought it has some other applications as well. The ring handle design makes it easy to manipulate while the addition of the third retractor blade makes it uniquely suited for increased access to the surgical field. A complete set includes a modified weitlaner frame and comes with three center blades.

This instrument is best used when more access is needed below the ribs and functions to create and maintain adequate access to the surgical field. This rib spreader has two arms, one of which can be adjusted to create the best fitting spread distance, as well as windowed blades to maintain uniform pressure over a larger surface area to reduce strain on the patient.
